There Industry Week, which took place at the end of November, is an annual event launched in 2011 to promote the industrial sector and its many stakeholders. This event aims to inspire new vocations. In this context, a group of visitors had the opportunity to discover the Sammel company, located in the Gantes area. The group included the France Travail Enterprise team, the Regional Employment and Skills Project Manager, the DEETSPP (State) and eight job seekers.
One of the main objectives of this visit was to allow the Entreprise de France Travail team to explore Sammel’s facilities, its production tools and the organization of workstations. This visit offered a valuable space for exchange between recruiters and the employees, thus making it possible to understand the skills and abilities sought for the various positions within the company.
The region is currently facing significant challenges in terms of labor market, notably a lack of visibility of opportunities in the industrial sector and a reluctance of job seekers to turn to these professions which are nevertheless rich and promising.
The Villeneuve initiative aims to respond to these issues by offering around ten local job seekers an immersive experience, allowing them to consider their future in this sector. Thanks to this targeted approach, the advisors who support these audiences receive crucial information to effectively promote the employment opportunities offered by Sammel and adjust to the real needs of the company.
This meeting, lasting 1h30, was conducted under the supervision of the Quality, Safety and Environment engineer, the management assistant and the Production Manager. A follow-up is planned to analyze the applications of interested participants, who have all submitted their CVs. Furthermore, the Réseau Pour l’Emploi local team is committed to supporting the company in its recruitment efforts.

The Villeneuve initiative is part of the Industry Week, an event intended to promote the industrial sector and encourage vocations to emerge since 2011. A particular focus was placed on the Sammel company, located in the Gantes area, through a visit organized for a group of ten people.
This group included the team France Travail company, the Employment and Skills Project Manager of the Region, the DEETSPP (State), as well as eight job seekers. The primary objective of the initiative was to allow visitors to discover Sammel’s facilities, its production tools and the organization of the different stations. Direct exchanges with recruiters and employees made it possible to identify sought-after skills by the company.
The initiative also aimed to enrich advisors in charge of professional support with valuable information to better promote job opportunities within Sammel and thus better meet the needs of the company.
Another major objective was to offer local job seekers an opportunity to familiarize themselves with industry professions, which was facilitated by productive exchanges during the visit of 1.5 hours. This was supervised by the Quality, Safety and Environment engineer, the management assistant, and the Sammel production manager.
To realize the momentum generated by this initiative, a follow up has been planned with the employer in order to manage applications from interested visitors. Each participant having submitted their CV, recruitment support will be provided by the Réseau Pour l’Emploi local team.

Furthermore, this initiative was a real opportunity for around ten job seekers interested in careers in industry. Supervised by the Quality, Safety and Environment engineer, the management assistant and the Production Manager, the 1.5 hour visit was an enriching opportunity for all participants.
